Water - fresh and clean
Fresh clean water is essential to health. The body cannot store water but needs it every day in varying amounts. Historically water came from rivers and wells but as populations grew they became polluted with sewerage and laden with bacteria and disease. River water was also full of pathogens and parasites. With the advent of dams and town reticulated/piped water local authorities treated the water with chemicals such as chlorine and later fluoride which brought issues with toxins and poisoning.

In rural areas with the construction of rainwater tanks then rainwater became a viable alternative, often feeding off dwelling roofs. Initially these tanks were concrete but now can be made out of metal (corrugated iron) or polymers. The collection of roof water in areas of reasonable rainfall can be a viable source of drinking and bathing water. In areas of drought then water comes from a clean river or dam or has to be trucked in.

More recently the issue of pollution and now chemtrails becomes a potential to contaminate rainfall.
